Lose of the traditional punishment story

I guess my question to you for clarification would simply be: Do stories of nonconsensual, traditional, comeuppance spankings appeal to you sexually or for some other reason?

Your responses are not out of "out of tune". This is a thread many of us find interesting. And we have you to blame for it. The thread is wandering. Every responder can reply to whatever interests them. For instance, your post #58, has gotten thinking about what " true submission " means. Another unexpected direction.

Of course they are sexual and erotic. I suppose my questioning is around why that is so. I would refer back to my previous post regarding the use of the word 'nonconsensual' . I feel many of the stories in the 'traditional' mould that I enjoy do describe an implicit consent. For that reason, I do not like judicial punishments stories or any use of force nor do I enjoy excessive pain being inflicted.


In many ways, I think the meaning of submission is at the centre of my 'wandering' thought process.

I'd imagine that, in the case of 'comeuppance' stories, someone could get a degree of satisfaction from an account of a member of an annoying group - say a disrespectful employee, or an overbearing boss - getting the punishment that they deserve, but will never get in real life. Not sexual, but satisfying nonetheless!

I would definitely get a smug sense of satisfaction if a "deserving" employee or boss got spanked. I could feel a different type of nonsexual satisfaction if a parent spanked a child. Call it empathy. Especially if the spanking filled the needs of both the parent and child. I would like to see bonding and forgiveness after the spanking. Perhaps there is a sexual element for me. The scenario works best if it's a mother spanking her young son.

Adult spanking is often sexual. If the spanking is true discipline, for me, as the spankee, the spanking is only sexual, before and after the spanking.

Submission is complex. It has a physical element and a mental aspect. Being forced to submit is different than voluntary submission. In an adult situation, being forced to submit is abuse. Voluntary submission that occurs within a consensual/non consent dynamic is different. That's what interests me.

The reason why I read (and write) spanking stories is that I find spanking sexually exciting. There may be other reasons for reading spanking stories, but hardly for consuming 5-6000 of them. But although sexual stimulation is undoubtedly my main reason for reading spanking stories, it’s not the only one - I also look for entertainment, (nonsexual) excitement, empathy, and enlightenment. Occasionally, I come across a story that is a piece of art worthy of being pursued in its own right, independent of sexual orientation.

The dynamics of my spanking fetish is based on the contrast between pain and embarrassment on one side and sexual excitement and gratification on the other. I have never really understood the connection between the two, but it’s definitely real, and if a story is to satisfy to my sexual interest in spanking, it has to appeal to both sides, but how it appeals to both sides may vary from story to story (or from story type to story type).

In the typical teenage story, the division is clear: The fear and embarrassment is all on the side of the protagonist, and the sexual excitement is all on mine as a reader. This is perhaps what most people would think of as traditional spanking stories, but if one looks to (real or fake) Victorian stories, the picture is often different: Here we meet gentlemen finding obvious pleasure in spanking, caning, or birching their maids, cooks, and wards. The pain and embarrassment is still all on the victim’s side, but the reader has to share the excitement with the male protagonist (something I personally often find difficult).

In the "modern stories", the two sides are often combined in the same character, and we find protagonists who are both fearing and wishing to get spanked - just like some of us. From a literary point of view, this opens for more interesting characters, but for many readers it may be less satisfactory from a fetish point of view. Still, when you have already written a lot of spanking stories, the literary challenges may seem more appealing than the thought of writing yet another traditional story.

My stories have run the gamut from children being spanked for poor behavior, to teens being paddled in school for again poor behavior, to adult spanking for sexual reasons and other things.

However, I think my favorite sort of topic is people involved in everyday life, who have spanking as part of their life, either giving or receiving. It can be teens, or adults being spanked, but I love to examine the mind set of both parties, the ones being spanked and the ones doing the spanking, the emotions both parties are experiencing.

I'll never forget a comment Alef made on one of my stories. The story is, "I'm Scared." It's about a married couple in their 50's, empty nesters who have enjoyed spanking for as long as they've known each other. They learn she has cancer, and one day she has a meltdown born of fear of the unknown. Her husband returns from the hardware store to find her in pieces, crying her eyes out in fear. He's unable to console her, to get her understand he is there, and will always be there until out of desperation he pulls her over his knees and spanks her. calming her down, making her feel loved, cherished and feeling his presence in her life.

Alef made the comment that I was continuing in my quest to show spanking in all aspects or ordinary life.

I had not realized I was doing that, but I was, and will continue to.

My point is, the reasons for these stories are infinite. I write partly for sexual stimulation, partly for pure entertainment, and partly to satisfy the urge to write about a subject that has fascinated me since childhood. I've learned I love to connect spanking to everyday life, and all the messiness that comes with it.
