Hairbrushes

I've seen some stories refer to a spanker (usually a woman) using her Mason Pearson hairbrush to spank. Recently, the Washington Post in the US ran a feature on the popularity of M P brushes and reported that based on the brushes' recognized quality, the company has no difficulty selling all that they make. I was wondering if anyone has had (1) any experience in using these brushes for spanking and (2) have they been so used in any stories you can recall.

I read an autobiography when I was about 12 (A world apart by Daphne Rae) in which the writer mentioned her aunt spanking her with a Mason Pearson hairbrush. I then asked for such a hairbrush for my next birthday.

I bought one on a trip to the States because it was frequently mentioned in stories along with the Shadow Lane ‘Chairbrush’
I also have a ‘Singapore Stinger’ and an ebony hairbrush.
I have found they are very effective when dealing with naughty girls..of all ages

Thank you for the tip on Mason Pearson hairbrushes. I have used hairbrushes in the past and written about them. However, I had never heard of the MP hairbrush. I did a quick search and found that they range in price from about $150 to $900. They may be top quality, but I think I'll stick with less expensive brands and paddles.

I have one. A black one, with a nylon body and bristles. What they call a "medium brush". I've had it a very long time. I suspect I was given it as a teenager and would not have appreciated how expensive it was, perhaps £100 in modern money.

It is not heavy and the back is hollow and slightly convex. I use it, and have always used it as, yes, a hairbrush.

A dozen or so years ago, I discovered it's alternative use and now it has a long crack/split on the back, caused, no doubt, by "inappropriate" usage. No warranty claim there then.

Despite being rather light, it is incredibly effective, particularly when used for multiple rapid spanks. I know two girls who dread it. Being light, it stings and reddens a bottom splendidly but doesn't cause deep bruising, unlike my small but thick and thus heavy wooden paddle, even though the paddle is of very similar dimensions.

I recommend the MP brush wholeheartedly, both for hair brushing and that inappropriate alternative use.

There is good UK hairbrush company - Kent Brushes - their brushes are much cheaper than M&P ones.
We have one that is used on my bottom LOL.

According to their website, they have been granted a Royal Warrant of Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III - makes you wonder, doesn't it!

Perhaps him and Camilla are into spanking ? After all lots of riding crops available to those that are horseriders !

I use my wife's Aveda Wooden Paddle hair brush I bought her as a birthday present. It is about 10 inches by 3.5 with a polished wooden back. So it is large enough for spanking her ample bottom. It cost £30 in the UK. After a good OTK spanking she is as good and well behaved as gold.
