Birthday Thoughts:

As I celebrate my 65th birthday tomorrow, I just wanted to thank all of those who have read my stories as well as the ones who took their time to comment on the many stories. Plus, a big round of applause for the fine staff.

This is an amazing and uplifting story site that for some here has lifted us out of a well of sadness and replaced it through the active participation in this interactive site with a sense of purpose and friendship.

You've expressed yourself very well for a youngster of 65. I'm a little worried. This reminds me of Bilbo Baggins birthday speech in Lord of the Rings. He wishes everyone well and disappears, never to be seen again. I hope you will be kind enough to provide "Proof of Life" long after your birthday.

Happy 65th birthday to you sir. I've enjoyed your stories and appreciated your comments over the years. This site has been a comfort to me as I've navigated some pretty serious health issues over the last 8 months or so. It looks like things will be better at least for a while now, so maybe I'll feel more like writing again. Still, the site has given me something to take my mind off my issues and enjoy myself, even if I didn't participate like I usually would have.
