This is a minor question, one I will likely solve myself, but I've no beta reader to bounce ideas off.
Every story featuring CP in a high school or college usually names the institution. You know, 'Miss Barkdale's Prep for Girls', 'Katherine Simonds Academy,' 'Wilton Creek High' or 'John Wayne University'.
I'm working on a story set in a contemporary college which explicitly believes in mild-ish spankings and paddlings administered by academic advisors. And much more severe punishments for discipline / bad behavior problems. Provided by recent female graduates who have taken a year's (yes, a whole year's) post-grad program in Behavioral Psychology, Spanking 101 to 301, Motivational Speaking, etc.
I'd like to name the College for a no-nonsense imaginary or deceased woman of achievement. I solicit ideas.
So far I've though of some: Erica Jong University, Margaret Thatcher College, Golda Meir Polytechnic, Johanna Wayne College. Trust But Verify University?
Ideas?
PS
I won't do it to LSF authors, but I've half a mind to name the place Susan Thomas College! (An author here if you don't recognize the name.) Or Grace Brackenridge Uni? No, I WIIL NOT use anyone's LSF name.

@Sloth

You have my permission to use "The Marlowe School." I haven't been using the name of late anyway.

I really like this name for a school. It brings a smile to my face.

Alan Moore's League of Extraordinary Gentlemen had a school for ladies which had a lot of CP going on. I think it was called Schadenfreude Academy. Maybe Flopsy would let you use the name of Thrashbottom for the school, perhaps it was founded by the good lady Miss Thrashbottom.

Why not "Spencer College" after Dorothy Spencer of the Spencer Spanking Plan, or "Paula Meadows Technical Institute" after the renowned Janus illustrator.

Claire Booth Luce?

Phyllis Schlafly?

Thanks for all the ideas so far. Someone known in the spanko community has some resonance. Such as Kilahara, who on top of everything gave Canada (I went to Uni there for 9 months) a distinguished place in the literature.

Actually, I'm tending still towards women's names, particularly ones that might resonate outside this Library. Which is why I keep coming back to Margaret Thatcher. Someone from the UK please vet this. For those of you familiar with the current dysfunction in US politics, how about Marjorie Taylor Greene Institute? The drawback there is that she might sue me! Stormy Daniels University? Lt. Uhara Tech?

I do think you need to be careful not to make it too explicitly a known spanker name.

I think I might be a minority of one, but I prefer stories that are more plausible. Spankings at Belview High school or New state college would imply a normal education establishment. A story set in Mrs. Kane's school for Delinquent Girls has a very different sense, explicitly spanking fantasy.

As you say, UK readers can answer better about Margaret Thatcher but while she is admired by some she would be a big turnoff for many others.

I appreciate you are writing in an American context but here in Ireland schools named after saints are quite common. So Sr. Margaret's Secondary School for instance.

On the male side of names there is a real saint called Saint Adam who is the Saint of self-discipline. So maybe Saint Adamilee's School where students self-discipline in the dorm or in front of the class. RK
