Spanking Gloves. Fiction and Reality

Currently there isn't a bare bottom available, other than my own, on which to try out spanking gloves. Never used here. A short trip on the internet finds many varieties, although most feature some form of leather or faux leather on the business side. How different is the impact, the level of pain? Assume the same spanker using his/her normal routine. Any more or less pleasant to receive, from a spankee's POV?
I'd enjoy reading a couple of stories using them, which I assume probably exist. Suggestions?

Tom and I have a pair of soft leather, black gloves that we have used on many occasions whilst spanking. Usually, Tom spanks me, but we do reverse the roles quite often too so I can answer from both perspectives. However, these are used in consensual spankings not punishment ones, if do have 'punishment' spankings it is with healthy role play and always a prelude to a good romp in the hay afterwards!!!

As the spankee, I find it gives a slightly gentler impact and a nice 'warming' rather that outright stinging effect. As a warm up to 'the main even' it is extremely sexy. However, being leather, it means that exploration of the erotic effects needs to be more external as it will just ruin the leather!!

As a spanker, there is less stinging of the palm meaning you can spank for much longer. Tom can't really explore me as he would bare handed, but when we reverse, I can still attend to his needs so long as I am careful when I finish him.

I've seen a couple of types of specialised 'spanking gloves' advertised; there are 'vampire' gloves studded with small sharp spikes intended to draw blood - not my sort of thing at all - and 'spanking palms' - an oval of rigid leather with a glove on the back, which I'd class as a paddle rather than a glove.

The point of spanking gloves seems to be that they either increase the sting on the spankee's bottom, or decrease the sting on the spanker's palm, allowing them to spank for longer.

I haven't come across any stories that use them specifically - maybe I'll write one!

I'm sure some think the feel of leather gloves is sensual against their bare hiney. However, I found it to cushion the swat and take away the sting sensation in session.

The first spanking 'story' I ever read as a young teen in the early '60s involved gloves. I was spanking curious but didn't really understand why or what to make of it. I remember looking up the word pretense in the dictionary. But then he described in detail how the mother put on a pair of black kid leather gloves that reached almost all the way to her elbows on both hands and spanked the girl over her knee on her bare bottom. It was probably the first real spanking scene I'd ever seen in print and it knocked by socks off. From that day on I always had a soft spot in my heart for spanking with gloves but for some odd reason never included one in any of my stories.

Hi Often, You are spot on. If you are spanking a firm and athletic backside it can be very painful on the hand. A glove will allow both parties to enjoy the experience for longer. My hand is used to it now and this is not needed but there is no shame if you are new to the game or just want to make it last longer. I think the longest spanking I have given Tom is around 30 minutes none-stop (this includes intimate rubbing as well). I believe the longest I have had was just over the hour, though this did involve Tom both spanking me (with his right hand) and bringing me to orgasm (I think it was 5 times) with his left hand. With a glove maybe I could have made a few more orgasms before we had both decided to quit.
