Size of Bottom with regards to spanking

Actually, I have been following this thread and thinking about it quite a bit.

The story "The Massive Research Project" is currently slowly developing inside my head.
Will the eager and ambitious young scientists Rick and Mark be able to continue once their initial enthusiasm runs out and they learn about the many variables that have to be taken into account in order to properly conduct this experiment? Will they find enough volunteers to be able to draw any statistically sound conclusions?
Will they or will they not forget to specify gender for this study, possibly leading to them having to turn down the enthusiastic male biker who signed up as a big-bottomed volunteer?
Will they, eventually, succeed at all at their clever plan to get to smack some bottoms and get a publication in Nature before their time and research project money run out?

Stay tuned... for a year or more, considering my current writing speed.

Great minds think alike. I had already concluded that if I couldn't get enough volunteers for an actual research project, i'd have to create one in a story, using fictionalized versions of LSF members. You'll probably beat me to the punch, even at your current writing speed (given how much slower mine is).

Long-time members will recall that there have been LSF-themed stories here in the past, most notably "LSF: The Movie," by Rollin, which regrettably was lost to us when the author pulled his stories from the Library. I have absolutely no idea how I managed to land the role of villain in that one.

If members are reluctant to lend their names to fictionalized versions of themselves, then I would need to chose totally random names to use instead - say, Miana Diller, or Patie Kie, or blopsyfunny, so that their identities wouldn't be obvious.

Note: when I previously mentioned a "massive research project" on this topic, in no way did I mean to imply that anyone here has a massive backside (except perhaps blimp if he is still with us). I'm sure that everyone (else) here has a bottom sized well within the normal range, with "large" and "small" merely being relative within that range.

Thank you for your response Diana. I started this thread. I didn't intend it as anti women or misogynistic at all. Just that I have rather old fashioned and traditional views and my personal preference is for men spanking women and girls. The massive research project I thought was a funny joke and had a value in pointing out that annecdotal evidence had limited value. I remember this topic being discussed in the letters of the Spanking Magazines I used to read before the internet put them out of business. Someone might write in and say that they spank both their wife and daughter and their wife, who has bigger bottom than their daughter can take a harder and more prolonged spanking. But as people have pointed without other variables taken into consideration this is just annecdotal evidence.

That said the suggestion of a properly conducted scientific research project on this amused me because I have heard of research projects just as strange being in contention for the ig Nobel prizes. Examples range from the discovery that the presence of humans tends to sexually arouse ostriches, to the statement that black holes fulfill all the technical requirements for being the location of Hell, to research on the "five-second rule", a tongue-in-cheek belief that food dropped on the floor will not become contaminated if it is picked up within five seconds.

@Markuk No worries, I wasn't offended and neither did I think the question was misogynistic. I was just having a laugh myself with my post. I wasn't completely serious, although chances are my brain might not want to let go of that idea anymore
Science can be amazingly funny, yes. I once attended a presentation from a scientist who investigated bruising of button mushrooms, by putting them through a machine that applied smacks of constant force with a little spatula.

Well, seeing as though you're the more experienced and popular author, you should go for it.

I regret not being able to read LSF: The Movie.
Question though, is it acceptable to use LFS members in stories? Do you need signed consent forms for it?
Asking because I may have written something involving a few LSF members and I thought I wouldn't be able to submit it here.

The question on use of members' names might better be addressed to flopsybunny (or is that blopsyfunny?). I have written a story or two with LSF references, but everyone I mentioned I knew pretty well (from what was then a more active community on the Forum and in chat), and although I never asked them, I was pretty sure (and ultimately accurate) on how they would react. I'm pretty sure that with Rollin it was the same. Anticipating blopsy's response, i'm pretty sure sure people here (at least the active ones) would be ok so long as you're not saying anything disparaging about anyone, or in any way revealing the "real person" behind the member name. (Perhaps I even ended up as Rollin's villain because he asked me. Can't remember).

I have nothing much to contribute to the size relative to pain question. Pain, anyway, is so personal. I spent some years working in a maternity hospital and what one person found agony another would find painless. And even the same person varies in how they feel pain, which Ithink depends quite a lot on their mood at the time. And as for hand size, Lady Pandora has small hands but gosh they deliver a painful smack. I also have small hands and, on the rare occasion I’ve tried to spank anyone, my hands hurt horribly straight away while the owner of the bottom tells me they have barely felt a thing.

I think that's very true. Pain is such a subjective thing, possibly more a construct of the mind than a physical reality. Science can understand signals in nerves, etc but I don't think it can yet explain why it hurts or how much it hurts.


I imagine the small hand penetrates more, like a wooden spoon, but a larger one bounces off the cheeks.

This is exactly why the world needs this research project
