Christmas movie with a spanking scene

I watched Christmas at Rosemont and it had a scene where an elderly lady spanked 2 tenn boys in her kitchen with a wooden spatula. You can find it on youtube. The spanking occurs about 50 min into the movie.

That was...unexpected. Especially from what's obviously a Hallmark movie.

Ahhhh, I recognized Grace Zabriskie, who played the spanker (Josephine) in this scene, as the actress who portrayed the cynical mother of Susan Ross in a few episodes of "Seinfeld."

She definitely has the bearing and seeming mindset of a woman who could administer a good sound paddling, doesn't she...?? --C.K.

I recognized her as playing a villianess in something but could not place the role.

She's been part of David Lynch's Twin Peaks universe, as Sarah Palmer.

That's intriguing and unexpected.
