Is the chat room functional?

It's wrking fine. at least it is now. not many people use it however

Yes it works. You don't need Adobe Flash Player anymore.

The new service, Mibbit, takes a few seconds to "fire up". So you have to wait a few seconds after logging in before you can begin to chat.

What is a discord server?

There's this service called "discord". Mostly it's free, but I think that there are some upgrades you can buy.

It's kind of IRC - but everything posted stays until the end of time. Or that Discord server goes down or gets deleted. So if you want to, you can scroll up and see what people were talking about two years ago.

Like IRC there can be different rooms. It also supports voice and video (which isn't saved, but can be recorded) and a few other things.

If a chat message is entered and there is nobody to see it, did it actually post? Nobody but the LSF bot is present whenever I try the chat room.
