A perfect opportunity for the authors to write more stories, with or without the virus themes, though that's also an intriguing idea in itself.

Or, after reading the story of the jerk who hoarded 17k hand sanitizers and is now whining because Amazon isn't letting him sell them for astronomical prices, there could be a tale of community outrage against those trying to swindle their fellow residents (and the appropriate punishments applied).

Yes, he tries to claim he's providing a community service by buying $1 containers and selling them for $20, and acts like he's being victimized for not being allowed to get away with it. He claims to be 'stuck' with them now. Here's an idea, sell them for a reasonable price and you'll get your money back plus an acceptable profit, and stop being a greedy bastard.

I agree with your remarks, mj2001. There are numerous similar examples out there. Too many. (Insert angry icon here)

I went as usual on Saturday to the big hypermarket in our nearest big French town and was delighted to see:

1. All the shelves were full.
2. No one was loading their trollies with more than the usual.
3. The checkouts were operating normally.

...and we are pretty much on full lockdown now.

These situations bring out the best in a lot of people. Here in the UK we were wondering what could bring us together after all the Brexit divisions, and now I suppose we have something, though not exactly what we would have wished for.

In the spirit of this, I will submit a couple of new (to the library) works, though neither have a medical-related theme.

A little dark humor for the day...
Although heat kills microorganisms, heat on the seat won't work as a cure or preventative measure, though it can sometimes be a stress reliever.

It's hard to think of coronavirus-related spanking plots, as spanking requires physical contact.

It would be easier to write a murder mystery - victims isolated alone at home, few witnesses on the streets, the murderer hiding his/her identity under a face mask. Choose smothering as a murder method and the death might pass as a coronavirus-related fatality...

After a couple of weeks self-isolating as a precaution my mind is going to some strange places!

Perhaps with the schools closed there could be some stories about parents operating a very strict home school based on a 1950s style school.
Or the council putting in place wardens with very long sticks who beat people who breach the quarantine rules.

In France they are called the CRS, but they are notorious for going much further than a spanking.

This young lady looks like she might be heading for a sore bottom from the CRS.
