Interesting point people made about marching bands at football halftimes. High schools commonly have them performing if they are schools with a band. As do some colleges. although the latter sometimes have what are called pep or scramble bands that don't offer much quality (often) in the way of music but instead engage in hilarious skits and general tomfoolery.
I believe some years one of these bands at Yale or Stanford or somewhere caused somewhat of a scandal by mooning the audience. Just think of what entertainment it would have been if the mooners had been hauled out to the middle of the field and their bare bottoms paddled! |
