OK, now that I have you're attention; yes this actually happened. I've discovered a delightful author by the name of Darynda Jones who has written a 14 book series. The 1st is called: The First Grave on the Right (just about the entire series has grave in the title). It's about a female PI who helps her father, since age 5, & then her Uncle solve murder mysteries. The reason why, it's because she's the Grim Reaper. Souls who've not moved on can go through her to Heaven. It turns out that her boyfriend, eventual husband, is the son of Satan. Periodically, he threatens to upend her because the Reaper is a huge Brat. Finally, before each chapter there's a thrifty saying or meme. In book 10 chapter 18 the meme is: Things we hates as children: naps and being spanked. Things we love as adults: naps and being spanked. Sadly, as of yet, the Reaper has not been upended, although she should be, but she's very open about her sex life & is afraid of anal. Read & enjoy. |
