While en- and em- dashes cannot be included directly in submitted story text, the HTML entities – and — can be included, and display as the longer dashes. I was advised (by Februs if I recall correctly) to use this method some years ago, when I wanted to use a dash to indicate cut-off speech

She blurted, "I don't want you to spank—"
"But I think i need to spank you soundly" he interjected.

Interesting. I would have thought to use an ellipsis in that context (...), but upon further research it seems an em-dash is the proper choice for dialogue when one speaker is interrupted by another, while an ellipsis is more for self-interrupted speech, more like hesitation or getting lost in thought.

Thanks for the tip!
