For those unfortunate souls like myself who must survive this cursed heat wave with nothing but a fan, I highly recommend reading a good book to escape the misery. I, for example, have been "captured" by John Sandford's latest two "Fucking Flowers" novels. The good detective is called that Fucking Flowers because even the most seemingly benign case sooner or latter turns into a bloodbath. Plus there are lines of dialogue that will leave you ROFL. Sandford also has two other series that interweave with Fucking Flowers. One is the Prey series and the other involves an ethical hacker and is girlfriend thief. So while there is no CP, the read is quite captivating. |
