Which spanking cliches drive you crazy

The cliches that seem to bother me are the sort of euphemistic ones that I recall from my earliest exposure to spanking lit in the spanking novels, collections, and magazines I either found in my father's and brothers' rooms or bought myself when I was old enough to dare to go into the places you had to go to find them. These include "put her through her paces" or "exposing her charms" or "alabaster cheeks."

A pet peeve of mine is when a spankee immediately wants to be reconciled with their spanker after a non-consensual spanking. I can accept that days, or even hours after the event, an individual may consider that the spanking had been deserved but it is hard to imagine someone thinking that way while their bottom is still smarting. Some resentment is generally inevitable I think. I particularly dislike the cliché that if you spank them long enough then the resentment goes away (ie, they are only resentful if you stop too soon).

I have read the posts so far. Most of them mention practices which can be pleasurable when presented to receptive readers by skilful and imaginative writers - even those we don't like much. I dislike stories which are excessively severe or violent or obscene.

I have learned to accept them but I don't like the words SPANK and SPANKING. They are somehow childish, and there are so much better ones available.

I don't like the word "swats". I'd prefer smacks or licks. Swats just sounds so corny. I don't like the term panties. It's never been said to me, but I've read it in stories. Telling a guy to "take down his panties" sounds like the dude is wearing women's underwear. Any time I have had a spanking session, the female has always instructed me to take my pants and underwear, which sounds like a more fitting thing to say to a guy. I also hate the phrase "loving but firm".

I LOVE it when I am about to go over a female's knee and she says "Bend...over...my...KNEE!". The way she says it and emphasizes each word with the most emphasis on the word knee. And I really love it when she says "I'm going to bare your butt. I'm going to bend you over my knees. And I mean...I am going...to just...tear...your...BUTT....UP!" By the time she gets to the words "butt" and "up" she is practically screaming.

I'm in agreement with you here, and this sort of 'instant reconciliation' especially is often a feature of M/F nonconsensual spanking accounts.

In those cases, an adult male uses his superior physical capacity to commit a crime (assault and battery) against a woman, which may also involve a sexually-based offense if the guy exposes her buttocks and/or genitals against her will--then the red-bottomed, sobbing victim almost immediately decides that his corporal punishment of her is acceptable, possibly even "a sign of his true love" for herself.

I'm not referring to a married/romantic couple wherein spanking is practiced as a way of resolving disputes, by agreement of both parties, rather I'm describing a truly nonconsensual and seriously punitive ass-thrashing, nothing playful or overtly erotic about it.

A highly improbable setting and/or plot scenario in a story is something I can willingly suspend my belief about, however I do prefer realistic human reactions...

I just read your comment and decided I needed to reply. You are correct. You do not understand the military.

Your sergeant is not your friend nor is he a sir. He is your sergeant and the man who may order you to do something that will cost you your life. He doesn't care if you like or respect him but you are expected to obey without question. Your father is a sir and the lieutenant is a sir. Your sergeant is your sergeant.

The minute that blood is drawn during a punishment story it's like a tub of ice being tipped down my panties, instant turn off, no matter how good the rest of the scene is. The words Panties, Naughty girl (regardless of maturity) and Bottom every time for me btw ].

Thank you for trying to help explain this, but frankly it just makes it even more absurd. Assume a particular sergeant is 'Joe Blow'. He is a man of particular talents and personality, however, according to this explanation, none of that matters because he is a sergeant. He therefore is utterly unworthy of being called 'sir' out of respect no matter what he is like as a man. But, one day Joe Blow gets promoted. Same guy, same talents, same personality......but now he's a lieutenant. And NOW he magically rates being addressed as 'sir'. Lunacy.

And what about this: prior to promotion, Joe has a son. So, if his son called him 'sir' would he get the same rebuke? LOL "Look, son, until I get my promotion, do not call me 'sir'!"

Maybe this is why we don't have robots as soldiers yet? Whenever someone tries to program the rationale behind 'to sir or not to sir' into them, the robot's mother board shorts out.
