Like most people I write because I want to, because I enjoy it and find it fascinating thinking up new plots and scenarios. I really like the Spanking Library because it is the best place to publish my work.
So do I want to thank the readers? I certainly want to thank the people who post a comment, or favourite my story. I do get a buzz from seeing the nimber of reads increase on a daily basis.
But do I want to thank the readers?
Its like a symbiotic relationship, they need the author as much as we need them....and of course the authors make up a good number of the readers.
When was the last time the readers posted a forum post thanking the authors...not that there is any reason why they should. So why do we authors want to post a thanks to them?
I suppose no readers would mean no library, but just the same applies if no-one wrote a story.
So the question here is am i making a valid point....or just being a miserable old git
Ok on balance ...thanks....
