K-Y Jelly on the rise?

News has just slipped out that the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is carrying out further investigations into the proposed takeover of the K-Y Jelly brand. K-Y is currently owned by Johnson & Johnson, but the proposed sale to Durex owners Reckitt-Benckiser is causing concern over market share and possible price rises. Durex make competing sexual lubricants, and the takeover could give Reckitt-Benckiser almost three quarters of the market share. Further information is available on the CMA's website.

I think we can safely relax. Even if KY were suddenly unobtainable, sex is unlikely to go out of style. There are traditional alternatives to KY that go back hundreds of years.
