went to see oncologist this afternoon who gave me the good news regarding my little prostate problem. The news ended two weeks of intense worry as to the possibility of having cancer. I dare say mummy will be having words, hopefully not with her brush or paddle.

Good to hear that it is a little prostate problem and not a big one. I'm pleased for you

"Been there, done that" Supermario. It's all part of being male. And it's almost an inevitable part of being male and over 60 as I am.

In medicine, many things are agreed upon across the profession, resulting in "standards of care". Meaning that you will get much the same treatment regardless of who you see. Unfortunately, prostate care isn't like that. When it comes to matters of the prostate, doctors don't presently agree on even the basics! There are several options for treatment, so don't allow yourself to be rushed into radical treatment by any one doctor.

Good luck!

Sebastian my PSA count was 0,2, personally I haven't a clue what it means.

That sounds low, I think worry is above about 7, I am no expert though. Mine is about 1.
