Shaving ?

I think that shaving is a "younger generation" thing. Not to offend anyone, but I am over 60, and I'll bet that most of you who have also commented here about your preference for the natural look, are also, or at least getting up there.

But I also have 3 adult children, and I know they all go for the naked look, including my son at the request of his wife. (She even asks that he shave his upper body; back, chest, arms even. ) For me, body hair, or lack of it, would be part of the attraction I had for someone. Its not like changing your clothes or your diet, it part of the way you are.

Sorry, this is a favorite rant of mine. My mother was of a generation that didn't shave anything but men's faces. Ah... to each his own. It's one more thing that makes us all different.

Well, at least she 'asks' and not demands. I don't know about the arms though. However, rough hair on chest and back can be a turn off, especially during foreplay and lovemaking. You're right flowerchild, it's just one more thing that makes us different.

Flowerchild has stolen my thunder. Until now, I believe this conversation has been exclusively about females shaving. But just as men can spank or be spanked, men can also shave or be shaved (and I don't mean just the face). Also a male probably has quite a bit more anatomy that might use shaving!

I have made an observation which I guess is applicable here. I have been to numerous spanking sites both US and European. One common thing on all of them is that the female models are almost without exception nearly or completely shaved. This leads me to the conclusion that most submissive females at least are completely shaven. You will find an occasional model with a brief "landing strip" but more often than not, fully shaved. Of course I'm talking about the pubic area. I could be 100% off here but this tells me that shaving may be connected with being a sub. Of course there are all kinds of women who have nothing to do with spanking nor do they have submissive tendencies which also shave for various reasons. Just thought I'd throw this out.

I think it has much more to do with being a porn star than it does with being a sub.

I asked my wife this question and she gave me an answer that made a bit of sense. (I'm a brave soul, huh?)

She said that some women shave the pubic area because it alleviates the odor of urine on the hair after wiping themselves. We men don't have the urethra so close to the pelvic area. I then came to the conclusion that maybe men feel the same way when performing oral sex. You have to admit that the nose if buried right in there. As for me, I always liked the tickling on my nose.

Thank you Bendover. That's the way I look at it. I've been shaving between my legs for some time. What I like to do is stand before the mirror and squint and pretend as well as I can that...well...that I'm who I used to be.
