Six days ago I posted my thinkpiece (kinkpiece?) 'What We Spankers Get Out of It' on FetLife. It's elicited a huge and almost entirely positive response. Best of all, I've just received this from a woman in Australia:

"Thank you for your beautifully written piece. My lover has been reluctant to spank me, not having much experience with this. However, one of our playmates referred him to your writing, and it has made him see things in a different light. We are all meeting this weekend and I have great hopes of finding it hard to sit down on Sunday morning"

Wonderful to think that what I wrote could have that effect on someone's life....

I think it's wonderful for anyone to be able to think that something that they wrote, said, or did led to something good for someone else, even a complete stranger.

Kudos!

Phil,

It's so true that at least once in our lives we will effect someone's life in a positive light. You did well. Gotta love it.

You should have told us newbies that the piece is actually in the Library as well (go to Phil's author page and look under "Other"). Really worth reading...

Thanks for sharing that with us Phil. I think it is great that your writing affected someone's life. I would imagine that it is important to any author to have an affect on someone and feel appreciated for what you do. Also, thanks to Alef for telling us where to find this piece.

That's wonderful, Phil. It has to be very satisfying for you to be able to make someone reconsider things through your writing. I hope she will give you an update next week.

Sorry, should have made it clear: yes, my piece is in the Library, on my page under 'Other'. Comments welcome, as always - and many thanks to those who've already commented.

The Aussie lady says she'll let me know what happens this weekend. Let's hope it more than lives up to her expectations....
