He was the father, John, on the Waltons, and so many other movies. He'll be missed by many of his fans and entertainers. RIP Mr Waite.

He was also on an episode of Matlock where he again played a father and in this case a breeder of racehorses. I liked his acting style whenever I saw it.

A fantastic actor! His portrayal of John Walton Sr. was brilliant. He will be missed, and I pray he is with God.

He also played the father of Mark Harmon's character, Leroy Jethro Gibbs, on "NCIS". Last I checked, his character was current so I imagine they'll have to write him out of the show now. I hope they do him justice.
RIP, Ralph...

I just now read about this in the forum. I loved his acting and am sorry to hear of his passing. I agree with all the above. Rest in Peace, Mr. Waite.
