Did you know that in Oregon it is illegal to "whisper "dirty" things in your lover's ear during sex." ?

In Virginia - It is illegal to tickle women.

In England it is an offence to eat mince pies on Christmas Day and illegal to die in the House of Commons. However it is perfectly legal for a pregnant woman to relieve herself anywhere she wants to...even in a policeman's hat!

I'd better not go to Oregon with my lover then. Or, if I do, I'd better be prepared to shout.

and illegal to die in the House of Commons.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were a capital offense.

How I've managed to dodge the heat all these years is just dumb luck I guess.

Here's a list of odd lays, though I like the title of the one I directly linked to.

I've heard that in Pittsburgh it's illegal to sleep in a refrigerator (I wonder why...?)

I've also heard that in Britian it is legal to spit in a policeman's face - but only if his beard is on fire and there is no other means to hand of extinguishing the blaze! (Presumably this must have happened at least once to set the legal precedent...)

It's also said that the only uniformed official in Britian who can legally ignore a red traffic light is a postman - and then only if he is delivering a formal declaration of war.

Of course a lot of these old laws have been done away with - there's no longer a death penalty for taking part in a football match, and no-one's been put on trial for witchcraft since the 1940s...

It's scary to think how recent this is.

And they toss a coin to see which one will leave first?

Indiana tried to legislate the value of pi in 1897 to be 3.2 before saner counsel prevailed.
