As the learned members of the library undoubtedly are aware, this has been attempted once before:

As the learned members of the library

And, pray tell, just which members would those be?

Sunrise 10.27. Sunset 14.15. So daylight 3h 48 min, plus twilight time. And we have snow, about 5 cm. So it is white Christmas, barely, but it is. Let's celebrate.

And like my friend says, it's only six month to Juhannus (john the Baptist day, midnight sun day), when here is no night at all.

I applied once to be a "learned member" of the Library but they told me to apply again in 50 years. Do you think they were giving me a hint?

All, I suppose! Or perhaps with a few exceptions...

Oh yes, plenty of rain and humidity! More often than not it rains on Christmas day!
