My life may have been difficult however I am aware of many children here in Canada back in those days and today who would trade their lives for mine any day.

Working for Child Welfare (and by the way we were all nice people trying to do our best to help kids) gave me an entire different view on how tough my life was. I also lived in northern Alberta, about 14 hours north of the USA boarder and seen conditions among some people that I would not put my dog in.

Perhaps you missed the smiley face?...

ordalie:
I sure did, sorry!

NO problem, ordalie. I know a smiley face even when I don't see one. It's all good.

I'm sure you were. When I said heartless institution it's because I know of plenty cases where the bloody judge refused to have the children entrusted to the perfectly fit grandparents and seny them to a foster family.

Have you used any of your unusual memories in your stories?

Some I have used in a way, but I twist them around so not directly. Memories are funny things, one seem to remember things differently than other people do. If 3 people saw the same scene and then talk about it 10 years later the recollections may vary by a large degree.

We also tend to shut out the past we can not, or will not deal with because of the feelings involved, therefore I often question my memories of the past and have to ask did it actually happen that way or was that just my perception. This is one of the main reason I wrote my story called "Perceptions."

Anyway enough about me, life is life and overall I am a happy person who also happens to be a spanko switch,,,,so let life roll onward
