My Dark Side

Hello everyone,

I had to write this little piece for those of you who have experienced a few of my stories with a very dark side to them. Those being: Humiliation Factor - Michelle (three parts), and my latest Vengeance Is Mine Sayeth Mary.

I write in the horror genre at heart. Two novels and many short stories in anthologies. Once in a while I delve into the world of 'real life' and the horrors (mostly women) go through in life. Barb wrote a very nice comment in the latest one. I quote:

This was so well written that it could give you nightmares. Unquote

Although they're fictional accounts, they do ring through as terrible things that happen in real life. For me, it's taking another path in a spanking story that takes the readers to another place in the genre. It's a little jolt out of the world of reality. We read many stories of horrible humiliations put on characters in our stories. Some comments are written with fascination and thrill. Some speak out on the horrible way to treat a person, yet they find the story erotic and thrilling in one way or another.

Both of these tales are stories of comeuppance. Sort of like the witch who puts out a deadly curse, which in time comes back to him/her three fold. I'd like to thank Flopsy, Februs, and ALL the other Admins for allowing me to express myself in these types of stories. I know that if I ever crossed the wrong line I'd be called on it. I don't mean them to be offensive to any gender in particular. I guess I write this for those who might say, "wow, he's really twisted!" LOL

Sometimes it can be fun to let your dark side out to play in the pages of fiction. Just read one of those stories and it was thought provoking and realistic.

Hi Pat, I'm glad you weren't offended by my comment. I was really intrigued by this story. It is so true to life (something that is really a part of life that most of us don't like to think about but which happens every day). It was very well written - so well written that I almost felt like I was there. I am sure I will sleep well, but have to commend you again on such an intriguing story that is so realistic. barb

At the risk of being accused of plugging one of my stories I would like to mention the one where I think I showed my dark side. My rather dark tale 'Right Between The Eyes' is unlike any other story I have submitted to this forum. One of the comments was ,"Wow. I wonder what puts someone in the proper mood to write a story like that?" I honestly can't answer that.

I think we all have a dark side. Sometimes it just bangs on the door until we have to let it out or we will go mad.

The criteria for acceptable stories are very wide, sexual activity between a minor and an adult being the only big no-no (apart from being illiterate and submitting stories with no spanking content whatsoever - I leave you to decide which I fell foul of!). Dark themes are intrinsic to any adult writing and come to think of it quite a lot of children's too!
