The only issue I had with her character was the implication that she'd gotten involved with rather mild BDSM due to her father's distant, unaffectionate treatment of her. Why couldn't she have been portrayed as a healthy, well-adjusted woman who simply enjoyed smacking masculine behinds?

However, it was a better movie than I'd expected it to be, since its portrayal of a 'soft' BDSM lifestyle wasn't necessarily negative... --C.K.
