The picture shows the icons and commands for opening Word and Notepad. They may be in a different location on your computer.

If you've never used Notepad before, it won't likely appear in that main menu shown. Click on 'All Programs' to find it on a list, or type in the name 'Notepad' in the box that lets you search all programs and files.
