Stumbled over a cute album cover

Had to look that one up. Usually means "unattractive or superfluous growths". I would hardly think hers are either...

The exact same pinup image is available (without the album cover text) at least twice on photobucket, see http://photobucket.com/images/bending+over+scale+pin+up/?page=1 for an example. At least one such posting claims to be royalty-free for general use, but I rather doubt that the uploader is the artist. I suspect this is a classic older pinup that has been scanned from a book or magazine, but i can't see a sig in the posted image.

A google search on "Pinup images bending over" finds this and many other interesting images.

Interesting. The problem with the legs exist in the original.

They are an obscure band and it looks as if they save a bit of cash by going with public domain artwork.

And it might be in the public domain. Before the Berne convention there were some strict rules for what was and what wasn't copyrighted. Many small presses didn't bother renewing copyrights for items they didn't plan to reprint. There's someone on eBay selling reproductions of this poster, which makes me think that rights were not renewed.

That said, it almost looks as if someone has undressed the girl at http://pinupsplus.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=46&products_id=624 and added a scale - making it a derived work.
