I'm confused. If blogger wants to eliminate monetization why does that apply to adult sites only and not to all sites and all ads?

Well my blog made it through the night. I haven't tried to assess the damage yet, just logged on, but at least as of now I'm still alive.

Blogger's policy statement was very vague. Read one way I was sure it did not apply to me. I don't link to porn sites. Do I "monetize" what could be called "adult content"? Hmmm. That's a tough one. I link to Amazon. Does that count? If you scroll back you can see I did go both ways on this. But so far I'm ok.

...and probably deliberately so, because that gives them the greatest latitude to do whatever they please. It's up to us to figure out what the real rules are, and how they intend to apply them. I don't even know what they consider "adult content". As you note, Amazon sells thousands of "adult" items and adult titles. If you link to Amazon will they pull your blog? I doubt it!

FWIW, I haven't yet received one of those warning e-mails.

Looks like I survived the purge. As of this morning, my blog is still there.
