In fact, the problem is different: I can only buy e-books to my kindle from Amazon or some such situated in my country, Amazon.fr is very clear about that.
I'll just ask CF if they can send an e-book to my PC.

Alex did say on his blog that he had sold stories to CF, so they probably hold the rights to them.
