I was driving out to Hamilton (a city between Toronto and Niagara) and I saw


(Not my photograph, BTW - I found it on google images )

But it got me wondering, does our esteemed patron/authoress have Canadian connections ?

I admit I had those thoughts, Jools, but the bendy curvy thing threw me....unless a wee dram of scotch causes those effects ?

I have had the pleasure of visiting Canada on several occasions on holiday and have driven through Hamilton, but have no connections in the Appleby Line as far as I know

I think in the UK the Appleby line is the M62 motorway.
