The only comments that irritate me are those that take the story too literally

Sometimes though, one has to view those comments that seem to take the story literally as a positive thing. Clearly the writer has pushed that readers buttons and got a reaction, whether negative or positive. One of the things many writers want and try to do is push readers buttons so to speak, it is a good clue the writing was very well done. So not all comments where it appears the commenter thinks the story is real is bad, just different.
