Some time ago I read a suggestion (can't remember where - maybe Janus) that if 69 was the recognised number for oral sex, 31 should be the number for a spanking or caning (look at the shape of the number - you'll get it). Perhaps it's time to revive it?

Interesting. I did not know that. I guess the title of my story, "31 Hours" is just a coincidence. I sure wasn't thinking that when I decided on the title.

Why don't we have a universal emblem or symbol. Something simple that can be printed on T-Shirts or quite easily made into a badge at very low cost.

It would seem to me that TTWD is appropriate. It fits all of tysout's criteria and it is already well known.
