The so-called Black Giant in the Green Mile passed away yesterday. I guess you can really never judge a heart by it's cover.

I was really sad to hear about this as well. Another wonderful Hollywood talent gone way too soon. You will be sorely missed, Michael. RIP.

So sad,he was still quite young. He was so moving in that role in the Green Mile, I think I saw him in some other films, but never again in such a good role where he could show his gentle side.

What a performer. It was a shock to me. I actually missed the news report of him being ill. His performances will be missed.

Not a regular movie-goer, I only ever saw him in The Green Mile - what a powerful film, in which he portrayed such a moving character. RIP
