The Prince Harry thread.

...because it just seems like there should be one...

Cute as he is, I didn't see anything special about his bottom.

Here in the USA we have a saying that's likely familiar to you; "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas". I'm honestly sorry it didn't work out that way for the Prince. Should any of you Brits think that Harry has somehow embarrassed your whole country in front of the world, you needn't worry, at least not here in the USA. Except on the Internet, it was barely a blip on the news.

What I see in those pictures is a spirited, handsome, fortunate young man acting just as one might expect.

Don't worry, Guy - scandalous behaviour is about what we expect from our royals. There's a long tradition of it (check out Harry's dad and granddad, to look no further), and far from feeling embarrassed we're just mildly amused. Harry had already positioned himself as the naughty boy of the family (attending a party in a Nazi uniform, making a pass at Pippa Middleton at his brother's wedding), so this latest escapade hasn't really surprised anybody.

TotaL non-issue except in that I'd share with many people the view that if you don't consent to being photographed naked, except in certain limited circumstances (being found dead in suspicious circumstances, streaking at a major event and then complaining about the photos) you shouldn't be. If on the other hand you're engaged in what some of our papers would call a "romp" and are happy for someone to take a photo, you are a public figure and then you are surprised it gets out, you are far too naif to be a politician but might get by as a minor royal or an army officer.

I actually think Harry gets out of these things rather lightly. Imagine the uproar if it were either of his cousins; Beatrice or Eugenie.

What!!!! Price Harry was in the nude???? Bravo. Who cares. In the US there wasn't much of a story. Now...if the Queen was seen in the nude, we still wouldn't care. But...Pippa is another story. We would care and we would want MORE. She has some ass.

The royal men seem to have a penchant for this sort of thing. Compared to his great great great grandfather (I think there's enough greats in there) Edward VII or as the press of the day before he sat the throne used to like to call him Bertie the Bounder, Harry is an absolute angel.

Not being much of a royal-watcher, I actually had to Google "Pippa Middleton" to discover who she is. I was amused when "Pippa Middleton bum" came up as a Google search suggestion. It seems that her caboose is admired the world over!


Given that both the young Prince and Pippa seem to be single and eligible, I fail to see the problem. In fact, that's exactly how I met my own wife. She was the Maid of Honor at her sister's wedding. (The groom was a very good friend.) I liked what I saw so I made a "run" on her. The rest is matrimonial/connubial history. Should I feel guilty?

They've tried to link Pippa and Harry before, although I think she has a boyfriend, a former England cricketer. Harry's behaviour has actually seen him dumped by his current girlfriend, although I don;t think he'll have problems getting another. Interestingly enough his sister in law was his plus one at the closing ceremony for the Oympics, though.

Well, no, not for THAT.

I feel sorry for Harry. His brother has the ultimate job security and prestige. His job is to be the Spare. He will only ascend the throne if his brother dies without an heir. His great aunt Margaret provides an excellent example and role model for him.
