I'm sure you knpw what 'cougar' means: they say it's a mature woman (i.e around 40!!!) who curiously still wants to have sex! Incredible, isn't it to have such desires when aged 40!!!
Well, I'd just like to know if it's the same over there, and if that awful name brands them as it does here.

Yes the term is here as well ordalie.
I'm 58 and still crave sex(and spanking) so God knows what I'd be termed as.

I haven't heard the term at all. I've got a recent story up here at the moment called "Mutton Dressed As Leopard" (in two parts) and although not stated, I imagined the lady to be a shade over 40. It's no age at all and a few spankos don't seem to have got the kink until a mid-life crisis takes hold. I much prefer the company of mature females, FWIW, and I'd hate anyone to think my story was misogynistic in any way.

I think my kids think I'm supposed to be "dead", as least as pertain to certain things. My daughter was talking about the SoG books, (this is not an invite to revisit that discussion), and she said that she was sure that it was more explicit than anything that my friends write or read. I wanted to laugh because really, she has NO idea, does she. lol
Oh, and I am a tad older than 58.

I believe Redskinlover is correct. Now that we've cleared that up, let's see a show of hands...

Lets, actually say it Red, a cougar is not an ingenue with long hair big innocent eyes and flashy lip gloss, but an older woman 40, 45, 50, 55- yeah even 55 who is still good looking, intriguing and enjoys a healthy sex drive. I have viewed dramas with so called "cougars", who are portrayed as villains who prey on young men for sexual satisfaction- like young men really feel sexually exploited if they have sex with a woman who leaves satisfied after satisfying them. Many of us view cougars as smart woman who walked away from loser men and now enjoy sexual and social interaction- not the word I want, but it will do, with younger, stronger more virile men for their sexual prowess without a long term relationship commitment.

I know I didn't get exploited nearly enough back in those days.

And to get back on topic, I've never heard the term "cougar" in that context.
