A different kind of story challenge

As many of you maybe aware, we are just 23 days away from celebrating the three-year anniversary.

[as an aside, the traditional third anniversary gift (for weddings, at any rate) is something made of leather... just in case anything was thinking of getting something for Februs and flopsy]

You may have also noticed that, at 19,629 items in the Library, we are just 371 from reaching the 20,000 plateau. Is there a chance we can reach that target of 20,000 by the time the third anniversary rolls around?

Let's go authors (both new and old) - get out your pens and paper, computers, (or, for those of blimp's generation) styluses and clay tablets, or whatever, and START WRITING.

[lest anyone suggest that I, too, should join in this effort, I will answer that I've already done my bit by coming up with the idea]

I do have a little list to send. I was looking at that story count and just shaking my head. It's totally amazing what an effort we authors have put into the LSF along with the great effort the admins have put in to keep it going. We've come a long way from running out of wall space in a cave.
