What would happen if they had to pay European prices - mass suicides?
One can always hope. What gets me is the wails from the folks who are "stuck" with huge gas hogs. Gas prices have been going up since the 1970's, so the present state of affairs should hardly be a surprise. Yet my fellow Americans still line up to buy huge SUV monstrosities, which increase demand for fuel, driving up gas prices for everybody. (Economics 101).
