The "pig in a poke" expression gave rise to one of the famous British political mis-statements, when an election candidate reportedly said, "With my opponents, you're buying a pig in a poke, but with me you get the genuine article"!

Of course, not every piglet "hams" it up you know!

Also as every American know, "Canadian back bacon" is extremely good, and everyone knows we would never do anything that is not kosher, it is just the way we are!
