Laura Werner used to collect many of the old stories from a.s.s. Her site was called Laura's Spanking Corner. I'd give you the address, but I'm posting this from my phone so I don't have access to my usual bookmarks. A Google search should find it, though.

Hmmmm, scratching my head here and wondering whether Amy, Croyle or Pablo are around and about the library. These folks, for the uninitiated, were the three botmods at S.S.S. while I was involved with the newsgroup and some may have archived much if not all of the postings at S.S.S. as well as much of A.S.S. My first thought would be Pablo. I see several other of the moderation bretheren are here, perhaps they might be able to help out ...

It depends on whether people give us permission to load their material here, wooz. Some, including Pablo & Mija have refused, so we will respect their wishes.

I have Laura Werner's website. She wrote stories from the old A.S.S. that are not on her site. There are quite a few stories that were not reprinted from the A.S.S. sites.

There are many authors that have refused to have their stories reprinted elsewhere, even when the original site that their stories were placed, no longer exist or are no longer active. Have they all gone "vanilla"? One such author had a small but very good series. She indicated to me that I should not bother and to delete her series. I guess that I am missing something. Maybe they are presently embarrassed about their stories.

No, they might just wish to have control of their material. I have tried to have my material deleted from sites (without any success) for various reasons.

But in the case of a completely lost website, there is no longer any control. It is no longer being read by anyone. If one writes a story and there seems to be some demand for reading that story, why delete it. If they placed there stories in The LSF they still have control. I did mention The LSF to them, unless they have no knowledge about The LSF. That's possible. The stories in question are not in any other website. Their stories are lost.

Yeah, but if it has faded into obscurity to the point where it is really lost, the author might like to keep it that way. When I joined here I hesitated to put in some of my very first stories because I don't consider them very good as i looked back at it. Maybe other authors feel that way too. For me, though I elected to put them all here because I wanted a complete archive in case I had a hard drive crash or something. My old Geocities site went dark when that whole thing folded, so LSF came along at the right time. But that's just me. Others might want to distance themselves from previous efforts they now disdain.

LOL. I was on some spanking website a few years ago and decided I would check out their library. I looked at the authors and read those I knew then selected one of the authors I didn't know and checked out his stuff. Imagine my surprise when I knew the plots and endings of his stories without ever having read past the first paragraph. I knew them quite well. They were my stories...under his name. I immediately contacted the website's admin and stated that though I did not mind seeing my stories on her site, I would much rather have my name on my own stories. They were changed immediately.

Yep. That's exactly what I mean. That can happen to any of us.

Those that have stories anyone else would want to claim, that is. I do not chose to guess which category I'd be in.
