Mind you I do find sadly that it is necessary to do the shopping oneself or goodness knows what half price, two for the price of one, special offer rubbish, will end up in the tea caddy!!

Let's hope its not a bumper box of Yorkshire Tea - the stuff is so thick and strong, the spoon can stand up in the cup all by itself!

That Yorkshire tea is vile. God knows how they drink it up there! It's like Newcastle Brown Ale! Undrinkable!!! Perhaps drinking these things is a test that no soft southerner could ever hope to pass? The mystery is how anyone could actually want to swallow it! That Tetley tea is awful as well. Obviously I try my best to ensure nothing like that ever sullies my taste buds but when visiting you never quite know what you will be served! One thing I have never heard of though is Scottish tea! Is it thick and lumpy I wonder?

Being exiled in the US of A, we have a regular shipment of Yorkshire Gold sent out to us, to satisfy our yen for afternoon tea.

On the local supermarket shelves out here, you can find in the Tea section, packets marked "Guaranteed to contain no tea."

Some of my adopted fellow countrymen have rather odd tastes, when it comes to which leaves are appropriate for steeping in hot water to make a beverage.

They fry your pies in the local chippy too and pizza too!!

I have to send my mother English tea bags in Germany or did until she found a Naffi town on route to somewhere else she goes...

A local delicacy! Like those gruesome looking meat pies! I wonder if anyone ever dares ask for a salad in a Scottish restaurant! I am not a fan of the cuisine up there although its probably improved since my last visit twenty odd years ago. I do love the music though! Nothing like the sound of those Gaelic folk songs.
