.. I have got out of bed!

With the site having been down (well the site itself was up, its name servers were down so same effect) yesterday for several hours we've now got a bit of a backlog to load but normal service will resume once I've had several cups of coffee, Red Bull (well not actual Red Bull, the cheap version of it from Tesco) and a deliciously fruity yogurt. I would indulge in a Derby scone or two as well but alas they've all gone.

Perfect start to the day is! espresso coffee extra strong. Lavazza or good italian brand is best. Oxford thick cut Marmalade, lashings of Lurpak butter on sour dough toast or black rye toast. Plus a glass of grapefruit juice for that all important vitamin C start to the day. Out in the garden for Chinese breathing exercises, take furry beast for a walk! Read Racing Post and spot something with good investment potential whilst computer warms up!

PS I made up that bit about Chinese breathing exercises!

The Pinkster reliably informs me that her horses have extremely good investment potential ... she will accept hard cash, Tesco vouchers and extended nuclear family size boxes of crisps.

Do you mean to say Tesco actually have branches that far north? When I stayed in the northern parts of Scotland last, as a student, an old chap used to drive round in his van with large boxes of Scotch porridge oats and big bags of potatoes!!

We do have a Tesco only 12 miles away... it is open every 7th Saturday, so long as there isn't a T in it and so long as you pass a 'yes I am a local' exam before you go through the doors!!

Now get those vouchers a comin'

PS Blimpy-bum, when you were a student, the world was still black and white
