I believe that new members of the site, and/or members who haven't yet commented much, must have there comments reviewed/validated before they appear. Once the staff is sure that the commenter is attempting meaningful contribution by the comments, that restriction goes away. So keep commenting (especially on Rick Marlowe stories) to give the staff a body of your 'work' to evaluate.
