I can't read the contest stories, though I see that almost 20 have been submitted.

That is simply because the contest is not open for reading until the deadline for entries passes. Just to be fair to all

I suspect that with the deadline moved back from where it originally was many writers are taking their time editing and generally tweaking their entries. I bet there will be a flurry of entries close to the Feb 9 deadline.

Thanks. I can live with the delay as long as it wasn't "oh, you're using THAT browser, well then you have to..." etc.

I have barely started mine yet

Perhaps just a small triple malt will give me some motivation to get on with it ...
