Question about something new

What is that small white notice with a few names and numbers which has appeared suddenly? What does it mean?

Do you mean the thing that says TODAY followed by loaded, validated and comments? If so, those are counters showing how many stories have been loaded and validated during the day along with the number of story comments made by readers. The counters reset back to zero at midnight GMT / BST.

No, just UNDER what you mention. For example I'm reading now:

That count refers to the number of story validations done by each person, Ordalie

Oops, that's admin info which I hadn't realised was showing

We can do that by showing the total Erwin No real need to break it down further than that, other than for admin purposes.

All the (non-admin) validaters are acknowledged on the Staff section of the About page with their totals shown in brackets. In addition the Stats page shows all the totals to the actual validaters themselves. The info Ordalie was referring to is merely the totals for today which we use as a guide to see how things are going and for most people will simply be taking up screen space. And finally, we've also posted on the forum in the past acknowledging PinkAngel and Linda's 3,000 validation milestones.

Pity! I had all sorts of different ideas about what those numbers by names might mean...

Februs, This is hardly a complaint, but I thought you might be interested to know that the list eventually returns if you stay on a page long enough. (I'm using Firefox if that makes a difference)
