I'm surprised to see that no-one has answered Garryl's question. I'm not "in the know" but I think I know the answer. It is not possible, and intentionally so. It's LSF protecting the copyright in all our work--if he could copy/paste his own stories then so could others.

Personally, as I don't exploit my work economically, it wouldn't bother me if my stories were copyable in fact the more copying the better--if reposted it would expand my readership; though I would want the reposter to acknowledge my authorship.

I am not sure why anyone would want to cut and paste their own stories. Most authors keep a copy of their stories on file, and in the event of an accident it may be possible to recover them from your email client. However, I assume Garryl's query relates to a concern that others might cut and paste his stories and pass them off as their own. As far as I am aware, this is not easily done. However, I can think of one cumbersome and imperfect way in which it might be done, although it would probably be much easier for an aspiring plagiarist to just write something original.

Nothing to contribute. Except, only someone like bashfulBob would think this is true.

No, we don't facilitate that. The majority of our authors wish to share their work but don't want it plagiarised. A story of mine appeared on someone's blog, attributed to a different author, and the same thing has happened to others too.
