Missing "Search" Button (special membership requirements?)

I am a regular "Reader," in no way "restricted." You help files repeatedly reference the ["Search"] button existing along the top row of menu buttons. It does not appear there, or anywhere, for me.

I can find no reference, ANYWHERE ON THE SITE, of any special requirements for using "basic search functions." Have you instituted "undocumented" requirements or restrictions? Wouldn't it make more sense to update your documentation before making such restrictions, and wasting members time?

(If I have missed the "documentation" I would be very surprised after my diligent search, but, if so, please direct me to the relevant page(s).)

(FYI: I use the most current of ESR-Firefox.)

The Search option is available at the bottom of the Submissions menu. To run the actual search function you will need to be a subscriber as explained on the search page itself.

I know that you're are busy, and responsible for many tasks, but the LSF website might have better luck acquiring "subscribers" by maintaining updated / current documentation.
