Close Button on this site

Probably something wrong at my end, but as only seeing behaviour on this website thought would ask.

In all browsers I have tried, unable to get close button to work after reading a story, or if Library Card pops up.

I refresh of page closes this, however with Library card, this keeps popping back up, and can be a pain to get past. Are there some setting somewhere need to change?

I found the same thing when I used a Microsoft browser. I could close out a story or pop up using the touch screen, but moving the cursor to the X and clicking did not close the window. I have since moved over to the Firefox browser which solved the problem for me. Hope that helps.

I've just tried the CLOSE button using Firefox, Brave and Vivaldi browsers and it worked fine with all 3.

The CLOSE button makes use of a very basic javascript call so it might be worth checking you don't have some software installed which is blocking that function.
