I noticed that the text color in chat is now set to white, for whatever reason, making it pretty hard to read with the light background. I tried to set foreground/background color of my messages, but it did nothing.

I just tried it and the text colour for me was black. I tried changing it to blue and that worked. Perhaps reboot and try again.
