Pop Ups Mysteriously Opening when Recipient isn't On the Site

I have been having some strange things happening with some of my pop-ups which appear as opened shortly after I send them, despite the recipient not being logged into the site at the time? Why is this happening? Will they still receive them okay or will they be lost in cyberspace forever? Perhaps LSFbot is getting them instead?
