I came across 'She Stoops to Conquer' by Tom Haggard, and found it well-written, and surprisingly moving. Yet it has only 86 reads. Anyone looking for an intelligent, original story should give it a try.

OK, I will do that. I'm a sucker for a "forgotten gem".

I have just found Nathan Ryster- really evocative schoolboy autobiographical, I suspect, Australian boarding school. Blimp should look. I picked them up from Flopsy' readings

I think I have read him before Twinklybum, he is an excellent writer. I have just read a story about a matron and a trip into Melbourne. It does sound very autobiographical.

Linda. Thanks much for the tip. I took a look and found it very satisfying! What more do we know about this guy?
